The traditional 2-wave (odds then evens) boxing process has been re-instated for all races in Victoria from Tuesday 10 November 2020. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times. 

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Dr. Macie was quick to begin.  Lakeview Lilly and Dr. Bronte collided soon after the start.  Let Out and Luxury Art collided approaching the first turn checking Let Out.  Lakeview Lilly and Let Out collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn.  Dundee Ember, Dr. Macie and Dr. Bronte collided on the first turn checking Infra Fortune and Luxury Art.  Dundee Ember clipped the heels of Dr. Bronte approaching the home turn.  Let Out and Luxury Art collided approaching the home turn.  Infra Fortune and Luxury Art collided approaching the home turn checking Infra Fortune and Let Out.  Lakeview Lilly was checked off Let Out entering the home straight checking Infra Fortune.

A post- race sample was taken from Dr. Bronte - winner of the event.

A sample was taken from Captain Goldie upon arrival on course.

Dundee Zircon and Hacker collided soon after the start.  Dundee Candy and Zipping Cookie collided approaching the first turn.  Dundee Candy, Give Me Elle, Hacker and Berdeen collided on the first turn severely checking Give Me Elle, Dundee Zircon and Captain Goldie.  Zipping Cookie and Hacker collided approaching the home turn causing Hacker to check off Zipping Cookie and raced wide.  Dundee Candy was checked off Bardeen on the home turn.  Dundee Candy and Zipping Cookie collided in the home straight and again approaching the winning post.

Stewards noted that the muzzle of Hacker became wedged in the greyhound's mouth during the running of the event.

The start of this event was delayed by approximately 3 minutes to hold for Geelong harness.

Dr. Lynch was quick to begin and crossed in soon after the start checking Lakeview Cruiser and Dr. Topaz.  Victory Raja was checked off Maxwell approaching the first turn.  Dr. Topaz and Cool Customer collided approaching the first turn.  Lakeview Cruiser and Curnow's Blues collided on the first turn.  Maxwell, Dr. Topaz and Tiffy's Express collided on the first turn checking Dr. Topaz.  Cool Customer and Tiffy's Express collided on the first turn.  Curnow's Blues galloped on Lakeview Cruiser approaching the home turn.  Dr. Topaz and Tiffy's Express collided approaching the home turn.

Sweet Antares was quick to begin.  Jayville Jewel and Camila collided in the back straight. Chelsea's Love, Jayville Jewel and Camila collided on the second turn checking Madalia Pixie and severely checking Jayville Jewel and Camila.  Jayville Jewel and Camila collided several times from the second turn to the home turn checking both greyhounds.

Rio Hustler and Bomber's Wonder collided soon after the start.  Bomber's Wonder, Niccali and Tyson's Tiger collided on the first turn checking Bomber's Wonder and severely checking Tysons Town and Niccali; Niccali stumbled and lost considerable ground.  Rio Hustler was checked off Tyson's Tiger approaching the home turn.

Suspense Rules was quick to begin. Slick Paws, Count Me In and Tansy collided on the first turn checking Slick Paws and Tansy. Kutcher's Ruslie was checked off Suspense Rules approaching the home turn.

A pre-race sample was taken from Omega Dodge.

Omega Dodge and Dybala were slow to begin. Piccolo Fratello was checked off Zipper Man on the first turn.  Omega Dodge and Zipper Man collided approaching the home turn. Gotham Princess and Spolly James collided approaching the winning post.

Mr. D. Langley requested an early race endorsement for Dybala.  The Stewards approved the request after an examination prior to racing by the On-track Veterinarian. Dybala will compete in early races until further notice.

A pre-race sample as taken from Dr. Mumma.

Dream Wizard was quick to begin.  Dream Wizard, Sweet Demi and Podium collided approaching the first turn. Podium faltered on the first turn and lost considerable ground.  Dream Wizard and Dr. Mumma collided on the home turn.  Dr. Mumma turned its head entering the home straight and collided with Dream Wizard. Dr. Mumma marred Dream Wizard in the home straight. 

Podium underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right monkey muscle and a torn nail on a right hind toe. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Dr. Mumma underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left triangle muscle and left monkey muscle. A 21 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mrs. J. McMahon regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Dr. Mumma was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mrs. McMahon pleaded guilty to the charge, Dr. Mumma was found guilty and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Fernando Bull was quick to begin.  Rakesh was slow to begin.  Fernando Bull and Miss Demonica collided on the first turn.  Fernando Bull and Manila Shine collided approaching the home turn checking Fernando Bull which stumbled and collided with Saint Wallace, checking Saint Wallace. Manila Shine marred Miss Demonica on the home turn causing both greyhounds to race wide. Yussuf Bale and Fernando Bull collided on the home turn and raced wide checking Rakesh. Saint Wallace and Rakesh collided on the home turn.

Manila Shine underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Musselwhite the representative for Manila Shine regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Manila Shine was charged with marring.  Mr. Musselwhite pleaded guilty to the charge, Manila Shine was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sale and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Ms. C. Wilson regarding the race manners of Rakesh on the home turn.  After hearing evidence from Ms. Wilson, viewing all available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn.

Prime Time - New declared weight of 27.7kg, last raced in satisfactory trial at 26.5kg.

Zipping Trish was slow to begin.  Rocks Got Talent and Prime Time collided approaching the first turn. Lennie's Flyer lost ground on the first turn. Rocks Got Talent and Prime Time collided approaching the home turn checking Rocks Got Talent and Zipping Trish.  Betty Spolly was checked off Rocks Got Talent on the home turn.

Lennie's Flyer underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Borradale the trainer of Lennie's Flyer regarding the greyhound's performance in this event.  Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71. Lennie's Flyer must perform a satisfactory trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Imperial Jack was quick to begin. Bidgee Boy was slow to begin. Bidgee Boy galloped on Chasing Rex on the first turn.

Avenger Spolly was slow to begin.  Crackerjack Jase and Dyna Xervo collided approaching the first turn checking Avenger Spolly and Crackerjack Jase. Toyed was checked off Mclinden approaching the first turn. Dyna Xervo was checked off Mclinden on first turn. Toyed raced wide in the home straight.
