Steward's Report
Parzival and Print The Cash were slow to begin.
Parzival and Print The Cash collided on the first turn checking Print The Cash. Smokin' Cindy and Jayville Jewel collided approaching the second turn. Dinkydi Asset and Jayville Jewel collided entering the back straight checking Dinkydi Asset. Parzival raced wide in the back straight. Smokin' Cindy turned its head and visibly eased approaching the third turn. Jayville Jewel raced wide in the home straight.
Smokin' Cindy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have no apparent injury, Mr. Tony Tufo declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted. Stewards spoke to Mr. Tufo, the trainer of Smokin' Cindy regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the third turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Smokin' Cindy was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Tufo pleaded guilty to the charge, Smokin' Cindy was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A(2)(a) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
