Notorious Jiggs - New declared weight of 32.6 kg, last raced at 31.1 kg.
A pre-race sample was taken from Saint Wallace.
Burning Mountain was slow to begin. Notorious Jiggs, Ripplebrook Rory and Miss City Girl collided on the first turn severely checking Madalia Mick which faltered, lost considerable ground and subsequently tailed off. Miss City Girl and Warm Beer collided on the first turn. Warm Beer was checked off Burning Mountain on the home turn.
Madalia Mick underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right triangle muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
