The traditional 2-wave (odds then evens) boxing process has been re-instated for all races in Victoria from Tuesday 10 November 2020. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times. 

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Oh Suzie and Over Talking collided approaching the first turn.  Warm Beer checked off Over Talking on the first turn and again on the home turn.  Over Talking and Warm Beer collided in the home straight.

Lethal Hawk, Romeo Lad and Pennine Way were slow to begin.

Flashy De Goey crossed the rail soon after the start checking Sarcasmic and Steinmark.  Steinmark visibly eased approaching the first turn and tailed off.  Romeo Lad raced wide on the second turn.

Steinmark underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have no apparent injury.  Mr. Steven Curtain declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted. Stewards spoke to Mr. Curtain, the trainer of Steinmark regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the first turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Steinmark was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. Curtain pleaded guilty to the charge, Steinmark was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Flashy De Goey underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request and was found to have a right back muscle injury and a right wrist sprain.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Kraken Jacki was quick to begin.  Remy's Girl was slow to begin.

Zipping Fleur and Why Not Bazzar collided approaching the first turn checking Zipping Fleur.  On Time Cash crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Zipping Fleur, Remy's Girl, Why Not Bazzar and Dyna Drew.  Mystic Rose and Kraken Jacki collided entering the home straight checking both greyhounds.  Mystic Rose and Keiki collided in the home straight checking Keiki.  

Dyna Drew underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury.  A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. John Johnson, the trainer of On Time Cash and reminded him of his responsibilities to obey the starters orders pursuant to GAR 51.

Star Ballerina and Rapid Reiko collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn checking Star Ballerina.  Lockwood Lad and Rapid Reiko collided approaching the third turn checking both greyhounds.  Teddy Too and Zipping Imogen collided on the third turn, approaching the home turn and entering the home straight.  Hook Along Mint and Star Ballerina raced wide entering the home straight.  

Suited Kings and Zipping Benson were slow to begin.

Get Real and Suited Kings collided approaching the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Dinkydi Asset and Zipping Benson collided approaching the home turn.  Get Real and Ultra Lightbeam collided entering the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Gordon Edwards, the trainer of Fran Keeping regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the first turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Fran Keeping was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. Edwards pleaded not guilty to the charge, Fran Keeping was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
