A pre-race sample was taken from Springvale Misty.
Belt Up Libba, Go Zippy Go and Sarah Smirnoff collided at the 250m mark. Belt Up Libba and Sarah Smirnoff collided at the 150m mark. Go Zippy Go and Chill Out Ilsa collided at the 100m mark. Springvale Misty and Kamari collided at the 100m mark. Colourful Past, Springvale Misty, Go Zippy Go and Chill Out Ilsa collided at the 50m mark checking Chill Out Ilsa and severely checking Springvale Misty which stumbled. Belt Up Libba and Chill Out Ilsa collided approaching the winning post. Mother Monster turned its head and visibly eased approaching the winning post.
Mother Monster underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 5, and was found to have injuries to the right monkey muscle and right pectoral muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Frank Andrighetto regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Mother Monster was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Andrighetto pleaded guilty to the charge, Mother Monster was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
