Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Aston Caruso was slow to begin.

Dance Diva Dance and Half A Double collided several times from the 250m mark to the 100m mark checking Dance Diva Dance.

No Jewels– New declared weight of 28.5kg, last raced at 26.8kg.

A pre-race sample was taken from Springvale Misty. 

Belt Up Libba, Go Zippy Go and Sarah Smirnoff collided at the 250m mark. Belt Up Libba and Sarah Smirnoff collided at the 150m mark. Go Zippy Go and Chill Out Ilsa collided at the 100m mark. Springvale Misty and Kamari collided at the 100m mark. Colourful Past, Springvale Misty, Go Zippy Go and Chill Out Ilsa collided at the 50m mark checking Chill Out Ilsa and severely checking Springvale Misty which stumbled. Belt Up Libba and Chill Out Ilsa collided approaching the winning post. Mother Monster turned its head and visibly eased approaching the winning post.

Mother Monster underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 5, and was found to have injuries to the right monkey muscle and right pectoral muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Frank Andrighetto regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Mother Monster was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Andrighetto pleaded guilty to the charge, Mother Monster was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial  in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Sole Elusion was slow to begin.

Erupting Avatar checked off Suspense at the 100m mark.

Jax Flash and Mr. Blurton were slow to begin.

Murt Law and Mania collided several times from 300m mark to the 200m mark causing Murt Law to collide with Mr. Blurton, checking Mr. Blurton and severely checking Murt Law. Superior Digby and Craggy Island collided approaching the winning post.

A pre-race sample was taken from Titanium Lad. 

The start of this event was delayed by approximately 1 minute due to difficulities boxing Titanium Lad.

Zipping Hunter was slow to begin.

Bush Blossom and Havelock Keith collided soon after the start. Tig and Murray Nan collided soon after the start. Tig, Bush Blossom and Havelock Keith collided at the 300m mark. Titanium Lad and Havelock Keith collided at the 300m mark. Tig and Bush Blossom collided approaching the 200m mark.

Titanium Lad - Proved difficult to box and will be boxed first in future events in accordance with GAR 52.

Man Of Sun and Superior Kiki collided several times from the 150m mark to the 50m mark checking Man Of Sun.

Superior Wallis was slow to begin.

My Dad Baz and Superior Wallis collided at the 300m mark. My Dad Baz clipped the heels of Superior Wallis approaching the 250m mark.

Riccarton Weaver was slow to beging and checked off Spend A Dime soon after the start. Come On Levendi and Tibetan collided soon after the start and again at the 250m mark. Tibetan and Princess Lace collided at the 150m mark. Tibetan checked off Come On Levendi at the 100m mark and stumbled.
