Neangar Boy and Aston Ability were slow to begin.
La La Jersey checked off Barooga Franky soon after the start. Blackpool Pyro, Barooga Franky, Style Bender and Aston Ability collided approaching the first turn, checking all four greyhounds. Neangar Boy and Naha collided on the first turn, checking Naha. Blackpool Pyro and Barooga Franky collided on the home turn. Neangar Boy raced wide on the home turn. Blackpool Pyro raced wide in the home straight.
Style Bender underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a triangle muscle injury, right hind leg. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
