Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times. 

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

La La Jersey checked off Barooga Franky soon after the start. Blackpool Pyro, Barooga Franky, Style Bender and Aston Ability collided approaching the first turn, checking all four greyhounds. Neangar Boy and Naha collided on the first turn, checking Naha. Blackpool Pyro and Barooga Franky collided on the home turn. Neangar Boy raced wide on the home turn. Style Bender underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a triangle muscle injury, right hind leg.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Rockstar Manners, Kalany Bale, Hojilla Bale and Kiss Your Lips collided soon after the start, checking Hojilla Bale and Kalany Bale. Kiss Your Lips checked off Rockstar Manners approaching the first turn. Rockstar Manners checked off Gypsy Cinnamon on the first turn. Hojilla Bale and Kalany Bale collided approaching the home turn. Stewards spoke to Mr Chris Stanton the Trainer of Double Tactic as some notable betting fluctuations were observed by Stewards. The comments of Mr Stanton were noted and a pre race sample was taken.

Sisco Ride checked of Lizzie's Entity and collided with Mepunga Sparkle entering the back straight. Sisco Ride faltered in the back straight.

Sisco Ride underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury.  A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Tommy's Blazer and Hear The Drum collided several times on the home turn. War Widow raced wide on the home turn.

Fawkner Park and Devil's Disguise were slow to begin.

Notorious, Cairnlea Pebbles and Numinous collided approaching the first turn. Autumn Haze turned it's head outwards on the first turn and marred  Numinous, resulting in Queue The Music and Cairnlea Pebbles being checked and Autumn Haze and Numinous being severely checked. Notorious and Mod Squad collided on the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Garry Selkrig, the trainer of Autumn Haze regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Autumn Haze was charged with marring. Mr Garry Selkrig pleaded not guilty to the charge, Autumn Haze was found guilty and suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) (b) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
