Steward's Report
Compact Kiwi was very slow to begin (3L). Sugar Rush Head and Bowler Best collided approaching the first turn checking Sugar Rush head. Sam's Pledge and Our Miss Ruby collided on the first turn checking Our Miss Ruby which raced wide and collided with Rocken Red, checking Rocken Red. Bowler Best marred the running of Sugar Rush Head on the home turn.Sugar Rush Head and Bowler Best collided entering the home straight checking Bowler Best.
Bowler Best was vetted following the event and was found a sand toe to the left fore foot.
Stewards spoke to Mrs. T. Jones, the trainer of the greyhound Bowler Best. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Bowler Best with marring and suspended the greyhound for 28 days at Shepparton and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
