Steward's Report

Gracie's Guess was quick to begin. Little Bit Irish and Jaimandy Kit collided soon after the start checking Jaimandy Kit. Bossy Best faltered on the first turn and tailed off. Highfield Minx checked off Gambo Grace approaching the home turn. Little Bit Irish and Gracie's Guess collided approaching the home turn. Jaimandy Kit and Twilight Revenge collided approaching the home turn checking Jaimandy Kit. Jaimandy Kit checked off Highfield Minx on the home turn. Gambo Gracie and Highfield Minx collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds. Little Bit Irish and Gracie's Guess collided in the home straight.

Bossy Best was vetted and re-vetted following event 12. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a strained right biceps injury. A stand down period of 21 days was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. N. Best, the trainer of the greyhound Little Bit Irish.  Little Bit Irish was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the both hind toes and both hind legs, no stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Little Bit Irish with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury) and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a),  before any future nomination will be accepted.
