Steward's Report

Twentyfour Carat and Davis were slow to begin. Stylish Autumn and Small Blessings collided approaching the first turn. Mohinga Max and Crosscheck collided approaching the first turn checking Crosscheck and In The Flesh. Twentyfour Carat eased approaching the first turn. Stylish Autumn and Small Blessings collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Scherri Lee Lass and In The Flesh collided appraoching the home turn checking Scherri Lee Lass. Twentyfour Carat and Small Blessings collided entering the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Jake Collins, the handler of the greyhound Twentyfour Carat.  Twentyfour Carat was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness in the back and injuries to the right triangle and the left shoulder. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Twentyfour Carat with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury) and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a),  before any future nomination will be accepted.

 

Meeting Comments: 

Satisfactory Trial Results - Quicker Than Al trialled over the 425mts from box 1, weight 32.1, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4 starters. The time of the trial was 24.47 the greyhound won by a margin of 2 lengths. Quicker Than Al was Cleared.
