Hard Urned Burst was slow to begin. Chief's Choice and Deadly Asset collided soon after the start. Deadly Asset and Jules' Fancy collided approaching the first turn. Quiver's Ace and Miss Grithinbush collided approaching the first turn checking Chief's Choice and severely checking  Quiver's Ace. Cazar Rose galloped on the heels of Deadly Asset on the first turn severely checking Deadly Asset, Jules' Fancy and Cazar Rose. Quiver's Ace and Jules' Fancy collided several times approaching the home turn checking Quiver's Ace. Aqua Lamont galloped on the heels of Hard Urned Burst in the home straight.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Spell Please a post race sample was subsequently taken.

The start of this event was delayed by 8 minutes whilst a problem with the track lighting was rectified.

King Knocka, He's A Villian, Lektra Lethal, Rapid Incline and Takos Princess were slow to begin. He's A Villian and Rapid Incline collided soon after the start. Spell Please galloped on the heels of Alderaan approaching the first turn checking King Knocka and severely checking Spell Please. Lektra Lethal and Takos Princess collided approaching the first turn. Takos Princess checked off Alderaan approaching the home turn. He's A Villian galloped on the heels of King Knocka approaching the home turn severely checking both greyhounds, King Knocka lost considerable ground. Spell Please raced wide on the home turn.

King Knocka was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left hip, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Spell Please was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

A sample was taken from Vintage Warrior - the winner of the event.

This event was rescheduled to 7:42pm due to the delay of race 2.

A pre race sample was taken from Prowling Lad.

Santa's Serena, Rashad Reason and Cosmic Tequila were slow to begin. Cosmic Tequila checked off Southwood Laura soon after the start. Miss Tarnie Lee and Rashad Reason collided soon after the start checking Rashad Reason, Miss Tarnie Lee and Cosmic Tequila. Southwood Laura checked off Prowling Lad on the first turn. Santa's Serena checked off Kosi Can on the first turn checking Rashad Reason, Prowling Lad, Southwood Laura and Miss Tarnie Lee.

Quara Bale was vetted on Tuesday 29 April by GRV Veterinary Officer Dr. Steven Karamatic after being involved in a motor vehicle accident following the Warrnambool meeting conducted on Wednesday 23 April.

Allen Benji was slow to begin. Benedict Geoff and Granola Bale collided approaching the first turn. Shaw Street Race, Best Perfume and Allen Benji collided approaching the first turn. Allen Benji checked off Quara Bale on the first turn. Dr. Ezechiel and Quara Bale collided approaching the home turn checking Shaw Street Race. Dr. Ezechiel and Quara Bale collided in the home straight.

Supersonic Hawk and Tarks Nemesis were quick to begin. Neutrino, Break O'Day and Boris Sent Me were slow to begin. Neutrino checked off Zipping Joe on the first turn. Zipping Joe crossed to the outside approaching the second turn checking Boris Sent Me. Jeff The Tipster checked off Supersonic Hawk entering the home straight.

Following the running of this event, Steward's declared "hold all tickets" so that they were able to view the official race footage, due to concerns of the positioning of the lure from the second turn to the third turn. After viewing the footage and from their own observations throughout the event Steward's were satisfied that no greyhound was disadvantaged.

Steward spoke to the lure driver Mr. Steven Vick regarding the positioning of the lure during the running of this event.

Ronan Izmir and Deadly Vane collided on the home turn.

Magic Diva was quick to begin. Watta Good Dee was slow to begin. Elite Diva and Dream It collided soon after the start. Little Regus and Sir Hugo collided approaching the first turn checking Little Regus and Watta Good Dee. Trail Blazing and Dream It collided approaching the first turn and again approaching the home turn.

Lektra Brave, Tiggerlong Chief and Mini Mitch collided approaching the first turn. Allen Gizmo, Aeroplane Rex, Cobra Bale and Lektra Brave collided approaching the first turn. Allen Gizmo and Cobra Bale collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Aeroplane Rex and Mini Mitch collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn. Dyna Irvine, Yodeller and Osteria Mozza were slow to begin. Wonder Whiz was quick to begin. Gemstar and Shiraz Reef collided approaching the first turn. Gemstar, Lunchless, Dyna Irvine and Wonder Whiz collided approaching the first turn. Wonder Whiz checked off Osteria Mozza on the first turn checking Gemstar and causing Shiraz Reef to race wide. Dyna Irvine and Yodeller collided on the first turn. Gemstar and Lunchless collided on the home turn.

Steward's spoke to kennel attendant Mr. Ron Rea and reminded him of the requirement to ensure that kennel security protocols were adhered to at all times.

Steward's spoke to Mr. Tom Dailly the handler of the greyhound Gemstar regarding his late arrival to the kennels to prepare the greyhound for racing pursuant to (GAR46).

Third Letter Are and Abrasive Manner collided on the first turn checking Third Letter Are, American Dollar, Abrasive Manner and Warunda Magic. Warunda Magic checked off Abrasive Manner on the first turn checking American Dollar. Third Letter Are checked off Warunda Magic approaching the home turn checking American Dollar.
