Leesa Benz and China Plate were slow to begin.  Quara Bale crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Midnight Swirl, Prince To Excel and Elite Faze.  Apatchy Bro and Usain Buzza collided approaching the home turn checking Apatchy Bro.  Usain Buzza raced wide entering the home straight checking China Plate.

Queen Kaboom was quick to begin.  Karagiozis was slow to begin.  Lachlan Bear, Maintenance Man and Game Maker collided soon after the start.  Queen Kaboom, Jaraco and Ottantotto collided approaching the first turn checking Queen Kaboom and severely checking Ottantotto.  Ottantotto brushed the running rail approaching the home turn and lost ground as a result.  Queen Kaboom and Lachlan Bear collided on the home turn.  Lachlan Bear galloped on the heels of Just A Taste enteirng the home straight checking both greyhounds.  Maintenance Man raced wide on the home turn and again in the home straight.

Ottantotto was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to it's left thigh, left elbow and both metatarsals.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
