Santeeka, Mrs. Crunkett and Carwoola Saige collided soon after the start checking Mrs. Crunkett. Perfect Flash and Miner Rush collided soon after the start. Perfect Flash eased on the first turn and checked off Mrs. Crunkett. Mrs. Crunkett and Carwoola Saige collided approaching the home turn checking Carwoola Saige which stumbled. Illegal Niki and I'm A Meade collided entering the home straight. El Jay Torana and Miner Rush collided in the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Mrs. A. Daisley, the handler of the greyhound Perfect Flash. Perfect Flash was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right thigh, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR69(B)(1), the stewards charged Perfect Flash with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury) and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR(69)(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
