Steward's Report
Bugatti Black was quick to begin. Paddy's Ari, Dr. Mindy and Happy Outlook collided soon after the start checking Dr. Mindy. Altena Bale and Paddy's Ari collided approaching the first turn checking Paddy's Ari. Paddy's Ari and Mr. Rosato collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Amaroo Cruise and Happy Outlook collided on the first turn checking Amaroo Cruise. Amaroo Cruise and Flash Galo collided in the home straight.
Paddy's Ari was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Dr. Mindy was vetted and after being re vetted following event 9, it was reported that the greyhound was found to have soreness in the right metacarpals and right back muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Amaroo Cruise was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound was found to have soreness in the left and right shoulder, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Shane Schembri, the trainer of Amaroo Cruise. After viewing the head on footage and taking into consideration the nature of the injuries sustained to the greyhound, Mr Schembri was issued with a warning regarding Amaroo Cruise's racing manners in the home straight.
