Steward's Report
The start of this event was delayed by approximately 1 minute due to a malfunction with the starting boxes.
Wise Ella was quick to begin. Veyron Bale, Mepunga Melachi and Cornelius Fudge were slow to begin. Great Spartacus, Veyron Bale, Brent Bale and Crawf's Bread collided on the first turn checking Veyron Bale. Great Spartacus and Brent Bale collided on the first turn checking Crawf's Bread. Mepunga Melachi and Cornelius Fudge collided approaching the second turn. Mepunga Melachi, Cornelius Fudge, Veyron Bale and Crawf's Bread collided on the second turn checking Cornelius Fudge, Crawf's Bread and Veyron Bale. Tam's Wish faltered entering the back straight and tailed off as a result. Cornelius Fudge checked off Brent Bale entering the home straight.
Tam's Wish was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to it's right back muscle. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
