Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Another Avatar, Mighty Tuscany and Sunspear collided on the first turn checking Another Avatar and Sunspear.  Ragin' Outcast raced wide on the first turn causing Capital Kay to clip the heels of Ragin' Outcast, Capital Kay fell as a result checking Rev The Jockey; causing Ragin' Outcast and Rev The Jockey to race wide.

Capital Kay underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have bruising over the right foreleg and right hindleg.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Saharrah Blitz was quick to begin.  Devon Shadow, Change Your Tune, Runaway Queen and Catch Me Spolly were slow to begin.

Catch Me Spolly crossed to the rail approaching the first turn causing Devon Shadow, Change Your Tune and Catch Me Spolly to collide; checking Devon Shadow.  Devon Shadow raced wide on the home turn.

Fifteen Love - Late scratching at 1.15pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to injury (papilloma). A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Lump Sum and Star Ballerina collided soon after the start.  Inga Mikey and Lump Sum collided approaching the first turn.  Inga Mikey, September Dream and Lump Sum collided on the first turn checking September Dream and Lump Sum; causing both greyhounds to race wide.  Totally Bell and Mich Wiggle collided on the second turn checking both greyhounds.  September Dream and Star Ballerina collided on the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Totally Bella, Lump Sum and Mich Wiggle collided on the third turn checking Totally Bella and Mich Wiggle.  Totally Bella and September Dream collided approaching the home turn checking Star Ballerina.  Inga Mikey and Cruyff collided approaching the winning post.

Totally Bella underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the left stopper.  No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr W. Craig, the trainer of Totally Bella and issued a warning regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the second turn.

A post-race sample was taken from Cruyff - the winner of the event.

Stewards spoke to the kennel attendant and issued him with a warning pursuant GAR 86(o)(negligence), after he left the kennel bay unattended following this event. This matter was referred to the Club Manager for further consideration and remediation.

Coughlin's Law and Akina Bear were slow to begin.

Maximum Rhonda crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Hayley's Hero, Free Kick Hawks and Fidelia.  Aeroplane Miss raced wide approaching the first turn checking Nan Moffitt.  Nan Moffitt, Fidelia and Free Kick Hawks collided on the first turn.  Fidelia and Free Kick Hawks collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn checking Fidelia.  Fidelia visibly turned its head entering the home straight and again in the home straight.  Aeroplane Miss raced wide in the home straight checking Maximum Rhonda.  

Fidelia underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left thigh muscle, left groin muscle and a laceration to the inside left hind leg, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr T. Currie, regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight and again in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Fidelia was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Currie pleaded guilty to the charge, Fidelia must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

All You Got – New declared weight of 25.6kg, last raced at 24.0kg.

Whistlin Missile, Spolly's Beauty, All You Got and Zoe's Intention were slow to begin.

Spolly's Beauty and All You Got collided soon after the start.  Cersei and Big Bubbles collided approaching the first turn.  Cersei, Big Bubbles and Zoe's Intention collided on the first turn checking Cersei and severely checking Whistlin Missile which fell as a result.  

Whistlin Missile underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to left carpus tendons and left dew claw.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Pretty Lily was quick to begin.  Waltz On Bye went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.  Cosmic Vigilante was slow to begin.

Greysynd Spectre underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left hind paw, no day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to the trainer Mr J. Bosnich, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Greysynd Spectre was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Bosnich pleaded guilty to the charge, Greysynd Spectre was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Romeo Lad - Late scratching at 1:44pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to left bicep injury.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Sapphire Power checked off Mates Rates approaching the first turn.  Boycey Road, Sapphire Power, Mates Rates and Sarcasmic collided on the first turn checking Sapphire Power, Sarcasmic and Buddy Goes Bang.  Mates Rates checked off Sapphire Power approaching the second turn.  Boycey Road checked off Pennine Way approaching the second turn.  Sapphire Power contacted the running rail on the second turn checking Sapphire Power, Sarcasmic and Buddy Goes Bang.  Mates Rates and Buddy Goes Bang collided approaching the winning post.  

Sapphire Power underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have superficial lacerations to the forehead, right carpus, left hind leg and right hind paw.  No stand down period was imposed.

Mr M.Carr requested an early race endorsement for Casanova Man. The endorsement was approved for Casanova Man after an examination prior to racing by the on-track veterinarian. Stewards directed the greyhound compete in Early Races only until further notice.

Majestic Way and Run Shifty Run were quick to begin.  Baggy's Gold was slow to begin.  Zambora Tara was very slow to begin (3 lengths).

Investigative Stewards conducted an inquiry with Mr J.Bosnich following an incident prior to kennelling.  Stewards charge Mr Bosnich with a breach of GAR 86(q), in that he engaged in behaviour that was detrimental to the interest and image of greyhound racing.  Mr.Bosnich pleaded guilty to the charge.  Mr.Bosnich was found guilty and fined the amount of $200.
