Steward's Report
Romeo Lad - Late scratching at 1:44pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to left bicep injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Sarcasmic was slow to begin.
Sapphire Power checked off Mates Rates approaching the first turn. Boycey Road, Sapphire Power, Mates Rates and Sarcasmic collided on the first turn checking Sapphire Power, Sarcasmic and Buddy Goes Bang. Mates Rates checked off Sapphire Power approaching the second turn. Boycey Road checked off Pennine Way approaching the second turn. Sapphire Power contacted the running rail on the second turn checking Sapphire Power, Sarcasmic and Buddy Goes Bang. Mates Rates and Buddy Goes Bang collided approaching the winning post.
Sapphire Power underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have superficial lacerations to the forehead, right carpus, left hind leg and right hind paw. No stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Lady Bang Bang - the winner of the event.
