Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore facemasks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Side Hustle and Chain Breaker collided on the first turn. Devika Bale and Aston Master collided on the first turn. Side Hustle and Chain Breaker collided approaching the home turn severely checking both greyhounds. Chain Breaker marred the running of Side Hustle on the home turn. Side Hustle marred the running of Chain Breaker entering the home straight severely checking both greyhounds.

Side Hustle underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration on the right metacarpal. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. T. Boehmke, the trainer of Side Hustle regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Side Hustle was charged with marring.  Mr. Boehmke pleaded guilty to the charge, Side Hustle was found guilty and suspended for 12 months at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Chain Breaker underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have right rear shin soreness. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Ms. L. Barnes, the trainer of Chain Breaker regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Chain Breaker was charged with marring.  Ms. Barnes pleaded guilty to the charge, Chain Breaker was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

A post-race sample was taken from Aston Master - the winner of the event.

Stewards discussed the frequency of racing for Luigi Bale with trainer Mr Luke Harris and noted his comments.

Summer Siren crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Aston Tribute. Farmer's Arms, Barellen Rae and Luigi Bale collided approaching the first turn severely checking Luigi Bale which contacted the running rail. Farmer's Arms and Barellen Rae collided on the first turn. Farmer's Arms and Barellen Rae collided entering the home straight and in the home straight.

Luigi Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Crown Jimmy and Orya Bale were slow to begin. Pat My Joy and Galiena Bale collided approaching the home turn checking Galiena Bale which collided with Uncatchable Girl.

Dewana Step was slow to begin. Teaks Streak, Aerolithology and Dewana Mechanic collided on the first turn checking Dewana Mechanic which collided with Dewana Step. Penny La Moment, Road Side Assist and Tekidanto collided approaching the first turn. Penny La Moment and Road Side Assist collided on the first turn checking Road Side Assist. Lady Gotham and Hillbilly Boy collided entering the home straight. Penny La Moment and Road Side Assist collided entering the home straight. Lady Gotham visibly eased and turned its head inwards to Hillbilly Boy entering the home straight. Lady Gotham marred Hillbilly Boy approaching the winning post.

Tearaway Train was slow to begin. Dundas Houdini, Sultan Bale and McIvor Stretch collided on the first turn. Sweet Potato, Kraken Bo, McIvor Stretch, Dundas Houdini and Sultan Bale collided approaching the home turn checking Sweet Potato, Dundas Houdini and Sultana Bale. Sweet Potato and Dundas Houdini collided on the home turn checking Sweet Potato. McIvor Stretch raced wide in the home straight.

Eddie and Carter collided soon after the start checking Eddie. Cracked Soda, Carter and Secret Thoughts collided approaching the first turn. Cracked Soda clipped the heels of Meatball Soup approaching the first turn. Cracked Soda and Carter collided approaching the home turn. Meatball Soup and Secret Thoughts collided approaching the home turn. Carter and Mr. Daver collided on the home turn. Cracked Soda and Secret Thoughts collided entering the home straight. Heads Or Tails was slow to begin and raced wide to the first turn. Fab Nine and Wicked Show collided on the first turn checking Wicked Show. Lektra Nat and Wicked Show collided approaching the home turn checking Wicked Show.

Piper's Unicorn and Aston Samara collided approaching the first turn. Hillbilly Road clipped the heels of Litigator approaching the home turn checking Litigator. Litigator and Hillbilly Road collided on the home turn checking Litigator.
