Steward's Report
Penny La Moment, Road Side Assist and Tekidanto collided approaching the first turn. Penny La Moment and Road Side Assist collided on the first turn checking Road Side Assist. Lady Gotham and Hillbilly Boy collided entering the home straight. Penny La Moment and Road Side Assist collided entering the home straight. Lady Gotham visibly eased and turned its head inwards to Hillbilly Boy entering the home straight. Lady Gotham marred Hillbilly Boy approaching the winning post.
Lady Gotham underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. T. Boehmke, the trainer of Lady Gotham regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Lady Gotham was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Boehmke pleaded guilty to the charge, Lady Gotham was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
