Cruising Ruby and Zen Mistress collided soon after the start. Cruising Ruby checked off Zen Mistress approaching the first turn severely checking Cruising Ruby which faltered and tailed off as a result. Zen Mistress checked off Mr. Lonely approaching the first turn severely checking Zen Mistress.
A post-race sample was taken from Flash Angel - the winner of the event.
Cruising Ruby underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hindleg back muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
