Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore facemasks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Little Winnie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right pectoral muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Mr Gary Cowcher, the Trainer of Little Winnie regarding the greyhound’s racing manners at the 200m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Little Winnie was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Cowcher pleaded guilty to the charge, Little Winnie was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Roller Derby underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no appparent injury was reported.

Slingshot Yin underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right hamstring. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Geoffrey Howell, the trainer of Miss Eloise regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the 200m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Miss Eloise was charged with marring. Mr Howell did not enter a plea to the charge, Miss Eloise was found guilty and suspended for 12 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Sin Rap Blue – Late scratching at 10:29am on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to dehydration and an elevated temperature.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Georgia Pines and Mumma's Bear collided soon after the start. Burnish crossed to the outside soon after the start checking Ishmy Barry and Georgia Pines. Ishmy Barry and Mumma's Bear collided at the 250 mark. Burnish and Georgia Pines collided several times at the 200m mark checking both greyhounds.
