Steward's Report
The start of this event was delayed by 1 minute due to holding for an interstate galloping event.
Call Me Stanley was slow to begin.
Millennium Star and Karen's Delight collided soon after the start. Karen's Delight galloped on the heels of Millennium Star approaching the first turn. Millennium Star and Karen's Delight collided on the first turn severely checking both greyhounds. College Degree and La La Louis collided approaching the home turn severely checking both greyhounds. Call Me Stanley visibly eased in the home straight and turned it's head inwards towards Zipping Levi.
College Degree underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found.
Call Me Stanley underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist sprain. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. T. Van taarling regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Call Me Stanley was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Van taarling pleaded guilty to the charge, Call Me Stanley was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69 (B)(1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
