A pre-race sample was taken from Sir Julian.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Jason Formosa, the representative of Sir Julian as some noticeable betting fluctuations were noted by Stewards. The comments of Mr. Formosa were noted and a sample was taken for analysis.
Super Switch, Ringcraft and Sir Julian were slow to begin.
Parumba Taylah faltered approaching the first turn and fell as result. Super Switch and Ringcraft collided on the first turn checking Super Switch.
Parumba Taylah underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spinal fracture. Paraumba Taylah was humanely euthanised.
