Brown, the trainer of Silver Compass and Horizon Princess, regarding significant market moves on fixed odds betting early for Silver Compass and prior to the event for Horizon Princess. Mr. Brown stated that he did not support either greyhound in today's event and added that the kennel has a large group of owners which follow his greyhound's at most starts, which was likely the case today. Mr. Brown further added that he did not tip either greyhound today. Stewards noted his comments and took no further action.

Parumba Taylah faltered approaching the first turn and fell as result. Super Switch and Ringcraft collided on the first turn checking Super Switch.

Parumba Taylah underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spinal fracture. Paraumba Taylah was humanely euthanised.

Stewards inspected the track in the vicinity of the first turn and deemed the surface suitable for racing.
