Steward's Report
Golden Charm went up with the lids and lost ground as a result.
Diama Miss and Shot Gun Pistol collided approaching the first turn checking Diama Miss. Shot Gun Pistol, Exclusively Mine and Palace Lady collided on the first turn checking Exclusively Mine. Golden Charm raced wide on the home turn. Wolf's Ace eased approaching the finishing line.
Wolf's Ace underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the left hind toe, a right hind quadriceps and left hind triangle injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr J. Higgins, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Wolf's Ace was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Higgins pleaded guilty to the charge, Wolf's Ace must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
