Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Cawbourne Archy, Buzz Out and Cawbourne Blaze collided approaching the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Saffron Lace, Ton Eighty and Konta collided approaching the first turn checking Saffron Lace, Ton Eighty, Konta, Megasonic and Super Shenron. Konta and Ton Eighty collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.

Megasonic underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the left ear. No stand down period was imposed.

You See Smoke and Rimrock Sally collided soon after the start. Erupting Avatar and Ink Spot collided approaching the first turn. You See Smoke, Big Bash Healy and Rimrock Sally collided approaching the first turn. You See Smoke and Ultra High collided on the first turn causing both greyhounds to race wide as a result. Rimrock Sally and Ink Spot raced wide on the home turn. 

Golden Charm went up with the lids and lost ground as a result.

Diama Miss and Shot Gun Pistol collided approaching the first turn checking Diama Miss. Shot Gun Pistol, Exclusively Mine and Palace Lady collided on the first turn checking Exclusively Mine. Golden Charm raced wide on the home turn. Wolf's Ace eased approaching the finishing line.

Wolf's Ace underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the left hind toe, a right hind quadriceps and left hind triangle injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr J. Higgins, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Wolf's Ace was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Higgins pleaded guilty to the charge, Wolf's Ace must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A post-race sample was taken from Palace Lady - the winner of the event.

Zippng Winnie - Late scratching at 4.06pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer M. Marshall was fined $100.

Tinker Dorf checked off Sweet Swagger approaching the first turn. Phoebe's Angel, Ice Cold Yug and Why Not Kaleb collided on the first turn checking Ice Cold Yug. Phoebe's Angel checked off Sweet Swagger on the home turn.

Ice Cold Yug underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right thigh and left hip injuriy. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr B. Klemke and issued a warning regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.

Aston Select, Psycho Star, Know Success and Claretown Rocky collided on the first turn checking Psycho Star, Know Success and Claretown Rocky. Psycho Star visibly eased on the first turn and turned its head outwards colliding with Know Success, checking Know Success, Claretown Rocky, Cornhill Rebel and Psycho Star. Know Success, Master Cosmic, Psycho Star and Claretown Rocky collided approaching the home turn checking Know Success, Master Cosmic, Psycho Star, Claretown Rocky and Steppenwolf. Master Cosmic, Claretown Rocky and Cornhill Rebel collided entering the home straight checking all three greyhonds. 

Psycho Star underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-vetted following race 8. Psycho Star was found to have a right foreleg deltoid injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr H. McAdam, regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Psycho Star was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr McAdam pleaded guilty to the charge, Psycho Star must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
