Steward's Report
The start of this race was delayed 4 minutes to allow track staff to clear wildlife from the track.
Rockstar Manners and Nice And Easy collided soon after the start. Steampunk Tiger and Aston Sylvie collided approaching the first turn checking Steampunk Tiger. Aston Sylvie and Robin's Choice collided on the first turn. Robin's Choice checked off Steampunk Tiger on the first turn. Nice And Easy crossed to the rails approaching the home turn checking Rockstar Manners. Gypsy Cinnamon checked off the heels of Aston Sylvie approaching the home turn, colliding with Short Tyson which raced wide as a result. Rockstar Manners checked off the heels of Smithy Keeping entering the home straight, colliding with Short Tyson. As a result Rockstar Manners faltered, lost ground and tailed off as a result. Short Tyson raced wide in the home straight.
Robin's Choice underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.Stewards spoke to Ms. D. Carr, the trainer of Robin's Choice and acting under GAR 75 (1) Stewards ordered Ms. Carr to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Robin's Choice in the event which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.
Rockstar Manners underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound over left hind toe and a left monkey muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.Stewards spoke to Mr. H Goss, the handler of Rockstar Manners and acting under GAR 75 (1) Stewards ordered Mr. Goss to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Rockstar Manners in the event which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.
A post-race sample was taken from Nice And Easy - the winner of the event.
Supplementary Report 17.09.20:
Trainer Mrs D Carr reported to Stewards that upon examination the greyhound Robin's Choice presented no injury.
Representative Mr C Grenfell reported to Stewards that upon examination the greyhound Rockstar Manners presented a left pencil muscle injury.
