Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Hojilla Bale and Istrid Bale were quick to begin.

Magnussen checked off Beiderbecke approaching the first turn. Crackerjack Keg, Zipping Ticket and Zipping Trish collided on the first turn checking Zipping Ticket which collided with Beiderbecke. Crackerjack Keg, Devika Bale and Zipping Trish collided approaching the home turn severely checking Beiderbecke, Zipping Ticket, Magnussen and Crackerjack Keg causing Crackerjack Keg to fall as a result.

Crackerjack Keg underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right scapula fracture. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Brindle Fire and Coco Lilly were slow to begin. Super Harry was very slow to begin(4 len).

Coco Lilly and Tommy's No Angel collided soon after the start. Brindle Fire, Coco Lilly and Totally Balanced collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds. High Beam and Tommy's No Angel collided on the home turn causing Brindle Fire to race wide. Coco Lilly and Super Harry raced wide on the home turn 

The start of this race was delayed 4 minutes to allow track staff to clear wildlife from the track.

Rockstar Manners and Nice And Easy collided soon after the start. Steampunk Tiger and Aston Sylvie collided approaching the first turn checking Steampunk Tiger. Aston Sylvie and Robin's Choice collided on the first turn. Robin's Choice checked off Steampunk Tiger on the first turn. Nice And Easy crossed to the rails approaching the home turn checking Rockstar Manners. Gypsy Cinnamon checked off the heels of Aston Sylvie approaching the home turn, colliding with Short Tyson which raced wide as a result. Rockstar Manners checked off the heels of Smithy Keeping entering the home straight, colliding with Short Tyson. As a result Rockstar Manners faltered, lost ground and tailed off as a result. Short Tyson raced wide in the home straight.

Robin's Choice underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.Stewards spoke to Ms. D. Carr, the trainer of Robin's Choice and acting under GAR 75 (1) Stewards ordered Ms. Carr to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Robin's Choice in the event which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event. 

Rockstar Manners underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound over left hind toe and a left monkey muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.Stewards spoke to Mr. H Goss, the handler of Rockstar Manners and acting under GAR 75 (1) Stewards ordered Mr. Goss to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Rockstar Manners in the event which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event. 

A post-race sample was taken from Nice And Easy - the winner of the event.

Supplementary Report 17.09.20: 

Trainer Mrs D Carr reported to Stewards that upon examination the greyhound Robin's Choice presented no injury. 

Representative Mr C Grenfell reported to Stewards that upon examination the greyhound Rockstar Manners presented a left pencil muscle injury. 
 

A pre-race sample was taken from Peter Galo.

Tiggerlong Grace, Peter Galo and Typhoon Bolt collided approaching the first turn checking Typhoon Bolt and Peter Galo. Peter Galo lost ground and tailed off as a result. Euchre John raced wide on the home turn.

Peter Galo underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Brad Keeping and El Cazador were slow to begin.

Rockstar Carmody and Shy But Savage collided soon after the start. Brad Keeping and Kamara Bale collided approaching the first turn checking Kamara Bale. Rockstar Stanley, Shy But Savage and Quarantined collided on the first turn checking Shy But Savage. Kamara Bale checked off the heels of Quarantined on the home turn causing Kamara Bale to race wide and colliding with El Cazador which also raced wide. Hoffa checked off the heels of Brad Keeping in the home straight.

Grime Time Zeus, Sisco Ride, Ayo Joy and Eight Ball collided on the first turn checking Sisco Ride and Ayo Joy. Midnight Hussler raced wide on the home turn.

A pre-race sample was taken from Callister.

Callister – New declared weight of 36.6kg, last raced at 34.8kg.

Chill Winston was slow to begin.

Dyna Xervo, Callister and Nothing Lasts collided approaching the first turn checking Callister and Nothing Lasts. Nothing Lasts raced wide on the home turn.

Fabriola Yes and Crackerjack Ads collided soon after the start checking Crackerjack Ads. Paw Behaviour brushed the rail approaching the first turn and lost ground as a result. Aston Gates, Asquith Bale, Hear The Drum and Fabriola Yes collided on the first turn checking Fabriola Yes and Asquith Bale. Fabriola Yes and Asquith Bale collided on the home turn. Paw Behaviour raced wide on the home turn. Fabriola Yes and Asquith Bale collided in the home straight.

Zed Bale, Who Knows Roman and Fast Food Junkie collided soon after the start checking Who Knows Roman. Cherokee Cat and Zed Bale collided on the home turn checking Cherokee Cat, causing Zed Bale to fall as a result, Zimmer Bale and Who Knows Roman were checked while avoiding the fallen greyhound.
