Steward's Report
Never Again turned its head inwards soon after the start and collided with All Image checking Hot Streak and Lot Lizzard. Lot Lizard and Hot Streak collided at the 250m mark. All Image and Blue Cascade collided at the 250m mark.
Never Again underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound on the left hock, no stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Neil Baker regarding the greyhounds racing manners soon after the start. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Never Again was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Baker pleaded guilty to the charge, Never Again must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Dynamite Des - the winner of the event.
