Steward's Report
So Joe Mac and Pretty Boy Pat were slow to begin. Pretty Boy Pat checked off Bombardier King at the 250m mark. Our Blue Spolly crossed out, turned its head and collided with Market Charlie at the 150m mark and again at the 100m mark.
Our Blue Spolly underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Trainer, Mr Steven Spoljaric declined his option to have the greyhound re-vetted. Stewards spoke to Mr Spoljaric regarding the greyhounds racing manners at the 150m mark and again at the 100m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Our Blue Spolly was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Spoljaric pleaded guilty to the charge, Our Blue Spolly is suspended for 28 days at Healesville and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
