Steward's Report
Vice Grip and Mt. View Jester were slow to begin.
Mighty Tuscany and Mt. View Jester collided soon after the start. Vice Grip and Fake Shot collided at the 150m mark. Bella Chic looked out approaching the 100m mark. Bella Chic and Swedish Duchess collided approaching the 100m mark. Swedish Duchess crossed out checking Mighty Tuscany approaching the winning post.
Bella Chic underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following Race 7, no apparent injury could be detected. Stewards spoke to Mr M. Giddings, the trainer of Bella Chic regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the 100m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Bella Chic was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Giddings pleaded guilty to the charge, Bella Chic is suspended for 28 days at Healesville and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards spoke to Mr Gerard O'Keeffe, the Handler of Vice Grip and issued him with a warning after he used inappropriate language behind the starting boxes.
