Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore facemasks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Mt. View Pearl, Ricky Racoon and Marley's Rage were slow to begin.

Petey Baqui and Butch Regis were slow to begin. 

Polly's Varcoe crossed out approaching the 200m mark checking Almapa Gallucci. Petey Baqui and Awakened Dragon collided at the 200m mark.

Atlas Bombshell was slow to begin and crossed out soon after the start.

Dust Up and Hurricane Rose collided soon after the start. Hurricane Rose checked off Piccolo Fratello at the 250m mark. Dust Up checked off Hurricane Rose at the 100m mark.

Vice Grip and Mt. View Jester were slow to begin.

Mighty Tuscany and Mt. View Jester collided soon after the start. Vice Grip and Fake Shot collided at the 150m mark.  Bella Chic looked out approaching the 100m mark. Bella Chic and Swedish Duchess collided approaching the 100m mark. Swedish Duchess crossed out checking Mighty Tuscany approaching the winning post.

Bella Chic underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following Race 7, no apparent injury could be detected. Stewards spoke to Mr M. Giddings, the trainer of Bella Chic regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the 100m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Bella Chic was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Giddings pleaded guilty to the charge, Bella Chic is suspended for 28 days at Healesville and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr Gerard O'Keeffe, the Handler of Vice Grip and issued him with a warning after he used inappropriate language behind the starting boxes.

Courtney Lee - Late scratching at 10:32am due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr D. Schwarz was fined $100.

Superior Bont was slow to begin.

Succession Plan and Bright Flash collided at the 250m mark. Superior Bont checked off Soho Girl approaching the 200m mark. Superior Bont checked off Ishmy Barry approaching the 150m mark.

Melanistic and Mac's Mayhem collided soon after the start. Melanistic, Mac's Mayhem and Precisely collided at the 300m mark. Melanistic and Master Faith collided at the 250m mark. Melanistic and Mac's Mayhem collided at the 50m mark.

Spicy Cupcake and Midnight Drifter were slow to begin.

Our Ryker crossed in approaching the 250m mark checking Big Coin Buddy and Indominus. Indominus and Spicy Cupcake collided approaching the 200m mark checking Spicy Cupcake. South East Queen checked off Midnight Drifter at the 100m mark. Indominus and Big Coin Buddy collided several times from the 50m mark to the winning post.

Victa Libby was slow to begin.

Misty Arandt and Apple Valley were slow to begin.

Oakvale Cruiser - Late scratching at 10:30am on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a papilloma on the left hind foot. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
