Mr T. Britton failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Forcefully for racing. Mr Britton was fined $150 pursuant to GAR 46 (2)

A pre-race sample was taken from Mr. Fix it.

Think Big Harry and Arizona Gold were slow to begin.

Mr. Fix It crossed to the inside soon after the start and collided with Gitan and Canadian Mist. Think Big Harry and Arizona Gold collided approaching the first turn causing Think Big Harry to brush the running rail. Canadian Mist and Mr. Fix It collided approaching the first turn checking Canadian Mist and Gitan. Gitan checked off Arizona Gold in the back straight. Forcefully and Mr. Fix It collided in the back straight. Forcefully, Think Big Harry and Mr. Fix It collided approaching the third turn severely checking Think Big Harry. Mr. Fix It checked off Arizona Gold on the third turn. Gitan eased on the third turn and collided with Mr. Fix It forcing both greyhounds to race wide severely checking Mr. Fix It. Gitan checked off Mr. Fix It approaching the home turn. Think Big Harry checked off Forcefully approaching the home turn checking Arizona Gold. Gitan checked off Mr. Fix It entering the home straight.

Gitan underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the right hindleg. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to handler Mr K. Richards, regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the third turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Gitan was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Richards pleaded guilty to the charge, Gitan must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Mr. Fix It underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

A post-race sample was taken from Forcefully the winner of the event.
