Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Kody Talks was slow to begin. Mt. View Sassy and Beryl Cheryl collided soon after the start and again at the 250m mark. Taylor's Chip and Retro Reece collided at the 200m mark. Taylor's Chip, Mt. View Sassy and Kody Talks collided approaching the 150m mark. Taylor's Chip and Astro Naughton collided approaching the 100m mark checking both greyhounds. Kody Talks and Beryl Cheryl collided approaching the winning post checking Beryl Cheryl. 

King Brown– New declared weight of 35.1kgs, last raced at 33.6kgs.

A pre-race sample was taken from Magic Indeed. 

Mt. View Pearl was slow to begin. Son Of Peter and Luboko were slow to begin and collided soon after the start. Luboko shifted out at the 200m mark checking Mt. View Pearl. Braemar Ally Fay lost ground from the 200m mark. Magic Indeed checked off Nitro Nana at the 50m mark. 

Braemar Ally Fay underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Trainer, Ms Yvonne Cassidy declined her option to have the greyhound re-vetted. Stewards spoke to Ms Cassidy regarding its performance in this event. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Braemar Ally Fay must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Aston Guinness and Ginny Woolf were slow to begin. Sunshine Spolly and Oakvale Cruiser collided at the 200m mark. Sunshine Spolly, Oakvale Cruiser, Springvale Misty and Monaco Lights collided at the 150m mark checking Springvale Misty, Monaco Lights and Oakvale Cruiser. 

A post-race sample was taken from Aston Guinness - the winner of the event. 

Chasing Opal began awkwardly and was very slow to begin (3 lengths). Mt. View Jester contacted the running rail soon after the start. Blazin' Jewel crossed to the rails soon after the start checking Sand Dance. Collinda Dodge and Blazin' Jewel collided at the 300m mark checking Collinda Dodge and severely checking Blazin' Jewel which stumbled. His Stop It checked off Double Zero at the 300m mark.

Chasing Opal underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right shoulder injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. 

Heeza Nippa and Spot On Mick collided soon after the start. Kid Malawi, Thunder Spolly, Not Delivered and Papa Panda collided soon after the start checking Thunder Spolly and Not Delivered. Thunder Spolly and Not Delivered collided at the 250m mark. Not Delivered checked off Thunder Spolly at the 200m mark. Kid Malawi shifted out at the 100m mark. Papa Panda checked off Kid Malawi at the 50m mark and again approaching the winning post. 

Kid Malawi underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr Meyer regarding the greyhound's performance at the 100m mark and over the concluding stages of the event. After viewing all available footage and the head on replay Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Kid Malawi must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre-race sample was taken from She's My Blast. 

Oshkosh Nar and Western Bomber were slow to begin. Madame Duggie and She's My Blast collided at the 300m mark.

A post-race sample was taken from Silver Sky - the winner of the event.  

Waltz On Bye – Late scratching at 4.36pm on 13 August 2020 when Mr Hugh Taylor reported the greyhound to be lame (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Mad Mcenroe was slow to begin. Cudgee's Jayne, Boes Bounty, Mad Mcenroe and Big Bash Punter collided soon after the start. Cudgee's Jayne checked off Big Bash Punter at the 150m mark. 

Mac's Mayhem was slow to begin. Amanda Lee crossed to the rails soon after the start checking Darley Park, Challis Sprite and Superior Charry. Darley Park checked off Challis Sprite approaching the winning post. 

Front Bar was slow to begin. Queen Of Promise clipped the heels of Kingy Lights at the 150m mark. Queen Of Promise checked off Chasin' Louie approaching the winning post. 

Beth Ablaze – Late scratching at 9.55pm on 13 August 2020 when Ms Ann Panetta reported the greyhound to have a hock injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Boes Reward, a post-race sample was subsequently taken. 

Bombardier King was slow to begin. Boes Reward and Too Much Talking collided at the 200m mark. 

Acting in accordance with the GRV Lightning and Thunderstorm Safety Procedure, racing was suspended at 2.05pm due to weather conditions and lightning strikes within the designated safety zone around the Healesville area. Due to safety concerns the meeting was delayed by approximately 20 minutes and races re-scheduled accordingly. The start of this event was re-scheduled to 2.27pm.

Tex Burger was slow to begin. Tex Burger and Heidi Intention collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Succession Plan checked off Kelli Pochette soon after the start. Angry Answer, Kelli Pochette and Spolly's Beauty collided at the 200m mark checking Kelli Pochette. Tex Burger crossed to the outside at the 150m mark and collided with Succession Plan. 

The start of this event was re-scheduled to 2.42pm.

Inter Joe– New declared weight of 32.8kgs, last raced at 30.9kgs.

Ruby's Boy and Taylor Jayde were slow to begin. Taylor Jayde crossed to the outside soon after the start. Where's Success checked off Ko Rapid Jack at the 250m mark. Inter Joe and Diamond White collided at the 50m mark. Ruby's Boy checked off Quick Transition at the 50m mark.
