Blackpool Flash was quick to begin.
Jax Flash, Blackpool Flash, Stella Rhode and Bus Driver collided on the first turn; checking Blackpool Flash and Bus Driver, which collided with Princess Sparkle and checking Super Remi. Princess Sparkle checked off the heels of Bus Driver approaching the home turn and contacted the running rail.
Princess Sparkle underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg monkey muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
