A pre-race sample was taken from Zanfrey Bale
Xamira Bale and Rockstar Carmody were quick to begin.
Ray Keeping and Galactic Zeus collided soon after the start, again approaching the first turn and again on the first turn, checking Galactic Zeus. Zanfrey Bale checked off Xamira Bale on the first turn, checking Xamira Bale, Zanfrey Bale, Rockstar Carmody and Rockstar Brass. Veridis Bale and Swift Brittany collided on the home turn.
Galactic Zeus underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a monkey muscle injury, right foreleg. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
