Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Yussuf Bale and Hey There Brodie collided approaching the first turn. Istrid Bale, Nino's Girl and Karen's Word collided approaching the first turn, checking Nino's Girl. Istrid Bale and Karen's Word collided approaching the home turn. Yussuf Bale raced wide in the home straight. 

Cypress Bale – Late scratching at 15:31pm when Ms A Dailly reported the greyhound to have a virus  (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Race 2 was delayed by 2 minutes due to the need to remove wildlife from the track.

Defiance and Grey Not Blue collided soon after the start. Gold Driller and Westcott Bale collided soon after the start. Westcott Bale and Defiance collided approaching the first turn, checking Defiance, causing Defiance to stumble. Westcott Bale, Hey Vain Elaine and Grey Not Blue collided on the first turn, checking Westcott Bale, severly checking Hey Vain Elaine,Grey Not Blue and Defiance. Defiance checked off Grey Not Blue in the home straight.

Another Sunrise was slow to begin.

Paw Behaviour and Beach Master collided soon after the start, checking Beach Master. Another Sunrise and Beach Master collided soon after the start. Another Sunrise checked off Aston Cash on the first turn. Another Sunrise galloped on Beach Master on the first turn, checking Beach Master. Galiena Bale checked off Paw Behaviour approaching the home turn. Damaged and Beach Master collided on the home turn, checking Beach Master. Damaged and Another Sunrise collided in the home straight.

La La Jersey and Innocent Diva collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn. Innocent Diva checked off Rockstar Jelfs on the first turn, checking Innocent Diva, causing Innocent Diva and Forbidden Love to collided, both greyhounds raced wide as a result, checking Forbidden Love. 

Spring Hummer, Magic Lantern and Roots Rock Riot collided soon after the start, causing Magic Lantern to fall. Lektra Yoyo and Big Brebler collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn, checking Lektra Yoyo, causing Lektra Yoyo, Spun Out and Rixy Ya Pest to collide, checking all three greyhounds. Spun Out and Rixy Ya Pest collided approaching the home turn, checking Spun Out. 

Magic Lantern underwent a post-race veterinary examination  - no apparent injury was reported

Look Fancy Nancy was slow to begin.

Scuffy and Foxzami Thriller collided soon after the start. Foxzami Thriller and Lonnie Loot collided approaching the first turn. Scuffy, Foxzami Thriller and Lonnie Loot collided on the first turn, checking Burn Time, Scuffy, Foxzami Thriller, Look Fancy Nancy and Lonnie Loot. Scuffy blundered approaching the second turn and collided with Lonnie Loot as a result. Foxzami Thriller and Look Fancy Nancy collided on the third turn, checking Foxzami Thriller. Chief's Magic, Jim Zarr Dashian and Keeping Busy were quick to begin.

Selynya Teddy, Lara Tara and Master Cosmic collided soon after the start. Keeping Busy checked off Jim Zarr Dashian on the first turn, causing Keeping Busy, Selynya Teddy, Lara Tara and Master Cosmic to collide. Chief's Magic and Keeping Busy collided in the back straight. Lara Tara and Unrivalled Dusty collided in the back straight. Lady Pandora and Keeping Busy collied approaching the second turn, checking Keeping Busy, causing Keeping Busy and Selynya Teddy to collide.  Lady Pandora and Master Cosmic collided approaching the home turn. Lara Tara checked off Unrivalled Dusty entering the home straight. 

Following the event Stewards inspected the track due to heavy rainfall and deemed the surface suitable for racing.

Last Hurrah and Ellias Bale collided soon after the start. Ernesto Bale and Kiss Me Razley collided approaching the first turn. Kiss Me Razley and Taltarni Black collided entering the back straight. Mr. Worldwide and Last Hurrah collided entering the back straight, checking Mr. Worldwide, causing Mr. Worldwide and Wonder Miss to collide, checking Ellias Bale and Ernesto Bale. Mr. Worldwide and Kiss Me Razley collided on the second turn.  Mr. Worldwide and Lochinvar Deus collided approaching the home turn, checking Mr. Worldwide.

Xamira Bale and Rockstar Carmody were quick to begin.

Ray Keeping and Galactic Zeus collided soon after the start, again approaching the first turn and again on the first turn, checking Galactic Zeus. Zanfrey Bale checked off Xamira Bale  on the first turn, checking Xamira Bale, Zanfrey Bale, Rockstar Carmody and Rockstar Brass. Veridis Bale and Swift Brittany collided on the home turn. 

 Galactic Zeus underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a monkey muscle injury, right foreleg. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Popcorn Payout

Mr. J. Larkin, trainer, requested an early race endorsement for Popcorn Payout. The endorsement was approved for Popcorn Payout after an examination prior to racing by the on-track veterinarian. Stewards directed the greyhound compete in Early Races only until further notice.

Just A Giggle was quick to begin.

Janray Lucky One and Lektra Rainbow collided soon after the start, checking Janray Lucky One. Just A Giggle and Comrade collided approaching the first turn. Apache Chaz and Shazbot collided on the first turn. Comrade checked off Rockstar Lincoln approaching the home turn, causing Comrade and Shazbot to collide. Comrade checked off Shazbot approaching the home turn, causing Comrade to stumble. Janray Lucky One and Comrade collided on the home turn, checking both greyhounds.

Queue The Music checked off Elvisa Bale soon after the start. Especial One and Queue The Music collided approaching the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Claretown Rocky and Lava You Beauty collided on the home turn and again approaching the winning post.

Merriview Mach and Catch Kate collided soon after the start. Free Sebon and Eaglehawk Miss collided soon after the start, checking Eaglehawk Miss. Eaglehawk Miss and Southwood Ace collided approaching the first turn, Free Sebon and Merriview Mach collided on the first turn, checking Free Sebon, causing Free Sebon to contact the running rail and collide with Southwood Ace, checking Mr. Frost, Free Sebon lost ground as a result. Southwood Ace and Steorra collided on the home turn. Southwood Ace and Mr. Frost collided entering the home straight. 

A post-race sample was taken from Catch Kate - the winner of the event.

Free Sebon underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a thigh injury, right hind leg. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
