Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Popcorn Payout.
Popcorn Payout - Late scratching at 10.13pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to an elevated temperature. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Flinders, Tinsel Doll and Eilish collided soon after the start. Sticker Stinger and Flinders collided soon after the start. Speedy Jack checked off Untested on the first turn. Untested and Sticker Stinger collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Tinsel Doll and Panda Rose collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Flinders crossed out on the second turn and marred Untested for the remainder of the event.
Untested underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the right fore metacarpal. No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Paul Galea, the trainer of Flinders regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the second turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Flinders was charged with marring. Mr Galea pleaded guilty to the charge, Flinders is suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.
