Special Talent and Twilight Connie were slow to begin.
Tat Warby, Typhoon Bolt, Ignite The Stars, Dirty Max and Special Talent collided on the first turn checking Tat Warby, Typhoon Bolt, Ignite The Stars, Any Luck and Twilight Connie and causing Dirty Max to fall. Autumn Haze and Special Talent collided several times on the home turn checking both greyhounds.
Dirty Max underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have soreness in the left elbow and an abrasion to the left thigh. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
