A pre-race sample was taken from Incognito.
Minter Fly crossed out soon after the start checking Madalia Daisy and Montaro. Symbol For You, Madalia Daisy, Montaro and Panda Rose collided on the first turn checking Madalia Daisy, Montaro and Panda Rose. Symbol For You brushed the running rail entering the back straight. Madalia Daisy and Montaro raced wide in the home straight.
Stewards were advised by trainer Mr Robert Reinke that the padlock on his kennel was sitting in the latch but hadn't been closed to lock. Stewards viewed the CCTV footage of race bay and were satisfed the padlock hadn't been closed correctly.
