Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Mystery Rules was quick to begin.  Harper's Girl was slow to begin.  Harper's Girl and Call Me Raine collided soon after the start.  Mystery Rules, Mess and Bomber's Smokey collided approaching the first turn checking Go Nera and Bomber's Smokey; severely checking Mystery Rules and Mess. Bomber's Smokey contacted the running rail approaching the first turn. Bomber's Smokey checked of Harper's Girl on the first turn. Bomber's Smokey brushed the running rail on the first turn.  Bomber's Smokey and Mess collided in the home straight.

Bomber's Smokey underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.

Thursday Thunder was quick to begin.  Patience Pays was slow to begin.  American Spy was checked off Thursday Thunder approaching the first turn.  American Spy and Patience Pays collided on the first turn.  Thursday Thunder and Bearing Gold collided on the first turn checking Thursday Thunder, Bearing Gold and Flywheel Storm.  Patience Pays was checked off American Spy on the first turn.  Thursday Thunder and Bearing Gold raced wide in the home straight.

Minter Fly crossed out soon after the start checking Madalia Daisy and Montaro.  Symbol For You, Madalia Daisy, Montaro and Panda Rose collided on the first turn checking Madalia Daisy, Montaro and Panda Rose.  Symbol For You brushed the running rail entering the back straight.  Madalia Daisy and Montaro raced wide in the home straight.

Stewards were advised by trainer Mr Robert Reinke that the padlock on his kennel was sitting in the latch but hadn't been closed to lock. Stewards viewed the CCTV footage of race bay and were satisfed the padlock hadn't been closed correctly.

Stewards spoke to the trainer of Thistle Rock Mr James Absalom regarding the boxing of his greyhound in this event. Stewards accepted his explanation for taking longer than normal to complete the task and took no further action.

Untold Soldier was quick to begin.  Nicholas Rose was slow to begin.  Adonis Sands, Dr. Luna and Tickle My Fancy collided on the first turn checking Dr. Luna, Old Town Road and Tickle My Fancy. St. Leo and Nicholas Rose collided on the first turn checking St. Leo.

Tickle My Fancy underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a mouth lesion.  No stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Stepping.

Sixties Rocker was slow to begin.  Entwined and Stepping collided soon after the start.  Entwined crossed to the rail approaching the first turn and collided with Sixties Rocker checking Sixties Rocker and Lonnie Loot.  Lonnie Loot and Entwined collided on the first turn.  She Wiggles and Threadin' Mikado collided on the first turn.  Sixties Rocker was checked off Black Canvas entering the back straight checking Lonnie Loot and Threadin' Mikado.  Zipping Clifford and Stepping collided in the back straight.

Frost Us underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an abraded right hind pad/webbing.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Busta Mikado underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a fractured right hock.  A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Soda King was slow to begin.  Brayden Lennox and Soda Maxi collided approaching the first turn. Skittle was checked off Just Burning on the first turn. Emerley Nolan underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right back muscle.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
