Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Elanda Bale.
Ray Keeping and Aston Champagne collided soon after the start. Ray Keeping, Elanda Bale, Rimrock Sally and Aston Ryker collided on the first turn checking Aston Ryker, Ray Keeping, Fabriola Acai, Elanda Bale and Aston Champagne, causing Rimrock Sally to fall. Fabriola Acai turned its head inwards and visibly eased in the home straight.
Aston Ryker underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the right hindleg. No stand down period was imposed.
Rimrock Sally underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have bruising to the left thigh and spike wounds to the right hind paw. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Fabriola Acai underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg deltoid injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to handler Mr. G Dailly, regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Fabriola Acai was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Dailly pleaded guilty to the charge, Fabriola Acai must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
