Steward's Report
The Stewards discussed the frequency of racing for the greyhound Just A Fidget with Representative Mr Jordan Formosa and noted his comments.
Ishmy Neecy was quick to begin. Virtual Flash was slow to begin. Virtual Flash checked off Argyle Bell soon after the start. Mepunga Fairy checked off Ishmy Neecy approaching the first turn. Mepunga Fairy and Virtual Flash collided approaching the first turn. Virtual Flash and Simmo's My Bro collided on the first turn. Ishmy Neecy veered in, visibly eased and turned it's head inwards entering the home straight and again in the home straight colliding with Argyle Bella.
Ishmy Neecy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-vetted following Race 5. Ishmy Neechy was found to have a left wrist injury and a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr. K. Doidge, regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Ishmy Neecy was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Doidge pleaded guilty to the charge, Ishmy Neecy must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
