Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Agent Jordan, Kurtlee Bale and Groundbreaking collided soon after the start checking Kurtlee Bale. Kurtlee Bale checked off Wolf Shadow approaching the first turn. Groundbreaking crossed to the rails on the first turn checking Cookie Deeds, Kiss Mwah, Agent Jordan, Berkel Boy, Kurtlee Bale and severely checking Wolf Shadow. Kurtlee Bale and Berkel Boy collided approaching the home turn and again entering the home straight checking Kurtlee Bale. Agent Jordan raced wide on the home turn.

Wolf Shadow-underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions to the left hind toe.. A  3 day stand down period was imposed.

Akuma Fireball and Ed Deeds were slow to begin and collided on the first turn checking Akuma Fireball. Artpop and Could Be Magic collided on the first turn. 

Crackerjack Joey – Late scratching at 9.46am when Mr Jordan Cooper reported the greyhound to have an illness (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Hostile Savage and Little Queeny collided on the first turn. Hostile Savage checked off Snooker Que on the first turn. Slingshot Pete and Snooker Que collided on the first turn. Okay Curtly and Little Queeny collided approaching the home turn checking Little Queeny. Snooker Que checked off Slingshot Pete in the home straight. 

Cyberpunk Tokyo, Our Missy Grace and Bad Boy Barry were slow to begin. 

Bad Boy Barry contacted the rail on the first turn. Run from Reality, Patches Colour and Do A Runner collided on the first turn checking Cyberpunk Tokyo, severely checking Bad Boy Barry and causing Do A Runner to stumble and lose considerable ground. Patches Colour checked off Our Missy Grace in the home straight.

Do A Runner underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Bad Boy Barry underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have soreness in the left back muscle. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Super Rage was slow to begin. 

Bad Driver and Cee Sprite collided on the first turn checking Cee Sprite. Winlock Winner, Super Rage, Cee Bay and Beaut Deeds collided on the first turn checking Super Rage and Cee Sprite and severely checking Winlock Winner and Beaut Deeds. 

Johnny Wishbone was quick to begin. Winsome Express was slow to begin. 

Appalachian and Zipping Zarbo collided soon after the start. Zipping Zarbo crossed to the rails on the first turn checking Get Real; Winsome Express and Appalachian were checked as a result. Johnny Wishbone and Zipping Zarbo collided approaching the home turn checking Zipping Zarbo. Appalachian raced wide on the home turn. Zipping Zarbo checked off Johnny Wishbone entering the front straight. 

Get Real underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have soreness on the left stopper bone. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Mr S. Coulson the handler of Get Real and issued a warning regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn.

Dashing Pedro and Abalone Fozz were slow to begin.

Peter Galo was slow to begin. 

Charley Davidson, Zipping Imogen and Close Enough collided on the first turn checking Close Enough and Spring Typhoon. Charley Davidson, Zipping Imogen and Hasta Manana collided approaching the home turn checking Charley Davidson. Spring Typhoon checked off Close Enough approaching the home turn and raced wide. Peter Galo and Zipping Imogen collided entering the home straight checking Close Enough. Hasta Manana shifted out approaching the winning post and collided with Peter Galo.

Stewards spoke to Mr. W. Hartigan regarding his failure to adhere to the Dress Code in accordance with LR 22 when handling Charley Davidson in this event. Stewards accepted his explanation however advised Mr. Hartigan that he must comply with the Dress Code in future. 

Magic Bulldozer and Tiger's Crest collided on the first turn checking Major Winston and Tiger's Crest and severely checking Slingshot Ebony and Curlin' Merlin. Tiger's Crest and Curlin' Merlin collided approaching the home turn. Major Winston and Curlin' Merlin collided approaching the home turn checking Curlin' Merlin, Tiger's Crest and Slingshot Ebony.
