Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Jaimandy Carl was slow to begin. Zipping Oliver, Pure Profit, Jaimandy Carl and Kamari collided approaching the first turn checking Jaimandy Carl and Kamari. Jaimandy Carl checked off Kamari on the first turn. Jaimandy Carl and Super Panda raced wide on the home turn.

Super Panda underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hock fracture. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.

The Stewards discussed the frequency of racing for Awesome Asset with trainer Mr. J. Mangion and noted his comments.

Kraken Maxi was quick to begin. Fletcher Jay and Awesome Grit collided several times approaching the winning post.

Awesome Asset underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found.

Garage Sale, Major Winston and Keiki collided approaching the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Keiki and Blazin' Ruby collided on the home turn checking Keiki.

Keiki underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was revetted following race 8 and no apparent injury was found.

Cracked Soda was quick to begin.

Brave Hearted and Jazzy Arandt went up with the lids at box rise and were slow to begin. The muzzle of Brave Hearted became dislodged at box rise. Ardent and Nicko In Paris collided approaching the winning post.

Barellen Knight, Miss Never Mind and Popcorn Payout collided soon after the starrt checking Miss Never Mind. Miss Never Mind checked off Gigi's Fire approaching the first turn. Barellen Knight and Blazin' Bulla collided in the home straight.

Lea Arandt was slow to begin. Five Sisters was very slow to begin (2L). Barellen Chubby, Elsa Rose and Ducky's Delight collided approaching the first turn. Lea Arandt checked off Barellen Chubby on the first turn. Lektra Shadow and Read Alot collided on the first turn. Lektra Shadow, Ducky's Delight and Read Alot collided approaching the home turn checking Lektra Shadow. Elsa Rose checked off Lektra Shadow on the home turn.

Mr. S. Drummond failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Elsa Rose for racing. Mr. Drummond was fined $100 pursuant to GAR 46 (2).

A pre-race sample was taken from Volcanic Lava.

Bush Bro galloped on Butternut approaching the first turn checking Sticker Stinger, Butternut, Bush Bro and Major Bourbski which contacted the running rail as a result. Bush Bro and Volcanic Lava raced wide on the home turn and entering the home straight.

Major Bourbski underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the left wrist. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Cavernando.

Cavernando checked off Desiree Devere on the first turn checking Dreamy Eyes as a result. Dreamy Eyes checked off Moyarra Whiz on the home turn. Dukey Duke raced wide entering the home straight.

A post-race sample was taken from Sideshow Marjen, winner of the event.

Class Action, Zipping Liam and Jaimandy Spider collided soon after the start checking Zipping Liam. Class Action, Zipping Liam, Jaimandy Spider and Bella Boom collided on the first turn checking Class Action, Zipping Liam and Jaimandy Spider. Zipping Liam checked off Class Action on the home turn. Jaimandy Spider visibly eased and turned its head towards Zipping Liam in the home straight. Jaimandy Spider and Zipping Liam collided approaching the winning post. 

Jaimandy Spider underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right abdominal muscle and back. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Donoghue, the trainer of Jaimandy Spider regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Jaimandy Spider was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Donoghue pleaded guilty to the charge, Jaimandy Spider is suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Ginger Meggs, Lektra Midnight and Sylvia's Delight collided on the home turn checking Ginger Meggs, Lektra Midnight and Sylvia's Delight and severely checking Twilight Flame. Lovely Sienna and Sylvia's Delight collided approaching the winning post.

Not All Over was slow to begin. Bitter Dash, Charmed, Wild Brutality, Zipping Solo, Favour and Zombie Queen collided on the first turn checking Bitter Dash, Charmed and Zipping Solo, severely checking Ragged Warrior and causing Zombie Queen to fall. Charmed raced wide in the home straight.

Zombie Queen underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found.

Ragged Warrior underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right groin injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
