Steward's Report
Class Action, Zipping Liam and Jaimandy Spider collided soon after the start checking Zipping Liam. Class Action, Zipping Liam, Jaimandy Spider and Bella Boom collided on the first turn checking Class Action, Zipping Liam and Jaimandy Spider. Zipping Liam checked off Class Action on the home turn. Jaimandy Spider visibly eased and turned its head towards Zipping Liam in the home straight. Jaimandy Spider and Zipping Liam collided approaching the winning post.
Jaimandy Spider underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right abdominal muscle and back. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Donoghue, the trainer of Jaimandy Spider regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Jaimandy Spider was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Donoghue pleaded guilty to the charge, Jaimandy Spider is suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
