Zambora Lulu stumbled at boxrise and was slow to begin. Flaming Assassin and Kiss Me Razley collided soon after the start. Sprite Halo checked off Invictus Roy on the first turn. Cee Me Snoop and Gypsy Hook collided on the first turn checking Cee Me Snoop. Flaming Assassin raced wide approaching the second turn. Kiss Me Razley and Gypsy Hook collided in the back straight. Cee Me Snoop checked off Lady Bang Bang on the third turn checking Zambora Lulu. Flaming Assassin raced wide approaching the home turn. Kiss Me Razley marred Sprite Halo approaching the winning post checking Sprite Halo and Gypsy Hook.
Flaming Assassin underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg carpal sprain. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Gary Mannion, the trainer of Kiss Me Razley regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Kiss Me Razley was charged with marring. Mr. Mannion pleaded guilty to the charge, Kiss Me Razley is suspended for 28 days at Sandown and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
