Piper's Unicorn was quick to begin.
Taciana checked off Appalachian soon after the start. Wolf's Ace and Appalachian collided approaching the first turn. Zimmer Bale checked off Taciana on the first turn. Wolf's Ace and Piper's Unicorn collided on the home turn. Wolf's Ace and Piper's Unicorn collided several times in the home straight. South East Queen checked off Tiggerlong Rebel approaching the winning post.
Stewards issued a warning to Trainer, Mr T. Boehmke, pursuant to GAR 86(o) for negligently placing Piper’s Unicorn in an incorrect kennel during the kennelling process.
Kennel staff were reminded of their responsibilities and issued with warnings after the greyhound Piper's Unicorn was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process. This matter was referred to the Club Manager for further consideration and remediation.
