A pre-race sample was taken from Isotope.
Two Chips, Hard At It, Libby The Ripper were slow to begin. Max McCartini was very slow to begin (3L).
Libby The Ripper and Hard At It collided approaching the first turn checking Libby The Ripper. Piper's Unicorn checked off Elite Mia approaching the first turn. Isotope, Piper's Unicorn and Hard At It collided on the first turn checking Piper's Unicorn and Hard At It. Piper's Unicorn and Hard At It collided approaching the home turn checking Piper's Unicorn. Two Chips galloped on the heels of Piper's Unicorn on the home turn and severely checking Two Chips and Piper's Unicorn. Isotope and Hard At It collided in the home straight checking Hard At It.
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Tolson, the trainer of Isotope, regarding a significant market move on fixed odds betting ($19- $2.50) for the greyhound in tonight’s event. Mr. Tolson stated that he did not support the greyhound tonight and was unaware of such betting fluctuations. Mr. Tolson added that he was confident that Isotope would be competitive in tonight’s event based on it‘s recent early sectional times at The Meadows. Stewards noted his explanation.
Following this event, Stewards dispensed with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, as the outside temperature was 23.9.
